Marzipan candies KALEV with Old Tallinn liqueur, Limoncello, 300g

Marzipan, consisting mainly of almonds and powdered sugar, is one of the oldest sweets that has been produced in Estonia since the distant Middle Ages. Marzipan, then known as a medicine and now as a treat, was originally made in the oldest continuously operating pharmacy in Europe - Tallinna Raeapteeg - but later marzipan reins were taken over by sugar bakers, among whom were also the predecessors of the Kalevi candy factory. Good and high-quality marzipan is still a highly valued confection today, and it is this kind, the best and highest quality marzipan, that is still produced in the Kalevi candy factory.
